Bataka Poha
jai shri krushna,
Poha/ beaten rice / pauva etc – various names given to this form of Rice- any preparation done with this rice is light , filling , nutritious to start the day as Kalewu for Shri Thakurji . A popular breakfast in most of the Indian households, let us prepare it today.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup beaten Rice /Poha – soaked and drained
- 1 Boiled Potato finely chopped
- few curry leaves
- chopped coriander leaves
- lemon
- salt to taste
- 1 tbs Ghee
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric /Haldi.
Preparation Method
- Heat Ghee in a pan – add mustard seed let them splutter, add curry leaves and potatoes , salt and turmeric saute a while and then add the Poha , mix well cover for a while and switch of the flame. Now add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves – mix well.Serve in a bowl and garnish with Tulsaji to please Shri Thakurji .
