Pongal – Sweet Khichadi
MAAL PUA – offered to Shree Thakurji on the Sankrantri day and anytime in this Maagh mas. It is sweet preparation and can be served as it is or accompanied along with Rabadi – condensed sweet milk.
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Sugar – 3/4 th cup
- Curd – 2 tbs.
- Black pepper
- Saunf / flannel seeds
- Some water to make the batter.
- Ghee for frying.
- Mix all the ingredients well in the smooth ,free flowing consistency.Keep for 10 minutes. Heat the ghee in a flat bottom shallow pan. Pour the batter carefully. The batter itself forms into shape of small round Puas, with holes in it. Let the Pua cook, when golden turn with help of toungs carefully, cook again till golden brown. Take out and let the excess ghee drain down on a seive.
- Place the Pua on the platter decorate with chopped dry fruits. You can aslo add sweetend condensed milk rabadi with Maal Pua. Also you can make the MAAVA KA MAAL PUA, with some alteration.
- Serve Shree Thakurji with a humble Tulsi leaf on the Maal Pau, i am sure He will like the way you offer Him with lots of love 🙂
