On the Patotsav of Shrinathji, this samagri is offered. Sakarpara is a common Indian sweet, can be stored and kept for few days in air tight container.Very easy to prepare.
- Maida – 2 cups
- Ghee – for frying and kneading
- water for kneading
- sugar for syurp
- cardamom powder.
- Heat ghee a little, add to the flour and make dough with very little water. The consistency tight. Roll a thick puri and cut long strips with knife , say 2 to 3 inches long and deep fry on slow fire., till pink.
- Make the syrup with the sugar, by adding little water and boil till it is done, when you drop from height it froms one thread. Add the fried strips and toss fast , the sugar syrup crystallizes to cover the stripe….separate every unit from one another if theys stick….Your Shakar Para are ready.
